New Appointment Booking Feature Added for Service Centers
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] SK Networks announced on the 16th that it has newly added a repair shop visit reservation feature to the imported car management app ‘The Carpet’ to enhance the maintenance convenience for imported car drivers. Along with this, an event offering gifts to new members and a one-year fuel voucher for customers who receive a repair invoice after maintenance will be held until the end of this month.
Through the newly opened repair shop reservation feature, customers can select a repair shop that meets their desired conditions, such as those with extensive experience servicing the same model of their imported car, among excellent repair shops partnered with The Carpet. They can book consumable replacement or diagnostic inspections at a convenient time without having to contact the store separately. The Carpet members can also manage their maintenance history through the app regardless of the reservation method.
Until now, The Carpet provided customers with one-way services such as ‘searching for repair shop information’ or ‘sending repair invoices and managing consumable replacement cycles.’ By opening the reservation feature, it has strengthened its role as a ‘platform’ where customers and repair shops can communicate with each other. This is expected to encourage more imported car customers to use The Carpet as an essential vehicle management app.
The imported car specialized vehicle management platform ‘The Carpet’ is an app developed by SK Networks for imported car drivers who face difficulties choosing repair shops after the manufacturer’s warranty period ends. It helps users search for imported car repair shops suitable for their vehicle, check the number of repairs by vehicle model, and automatically recognize repair invoice text to assist with maintenance history and consumable management.
By analyzing maintenance data from over one million imported cars in Korea, it provides detailed explanations for each maintenance item and allows users to explore specialized repair shops for each item. By photographing unfamiliar warning light images and uploading them to the AI pre-diagnosis chatbot, users can check what issues their car has. Since the official app launch in April, as of August, about four months later, the app has surpassed 10,000 registered users and a cumulative 53,000 repair cases.
