[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Su-yeon] LG Uplus announced on the 16th that it will hold an event offering various prizes, including a trip to Turkey, for customers who subscribe to its subscription platform ‘Yudok’ in celebration of the summer vacation season.


LG Uplus, in collaboration with the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, will gift a trip to Turkey worth approximately 6 million KRW through a lottery to customers who newly subscribe to Yudok. Customers who subscribe to Yudok by the 6th of next month and select their preferred travel destination between Istanbul and Cappadocia, two representative tourist cities in Turkey featured in famous movies, on the event page will be automatically entered into the draw.


Five winners will be selected through the lottery to enjoy an 8-day, 6-night trip to Turkey. The package includes airfare, accommodation, and sightseeing at famous spots in Istanbul and Cappadocia. Istanbul was the backdrop for the movie Taken 2, while Cappadocia is known as the inspiration for the home planet of the protagonist in the Star Wars movie.


Detailed event information can be found on the official website or the Yudok event page within the customer center app starting from the afternoon of the 16th. Winners can check the results on the event page on September 13th, and the travel opportunity will be provided from October 15th to 21st.


Additionally, LG Uplus is also running an event offering various prizes to customers who subscribe to the ‘Honey Combination’ products, which bundle popular subscription services.


Customers wishing to participate in the event can choose and subscribe to one of the three Honey Combination subscription products: Netflix + Yogiyo (Yudok discounted price 15,025 KRW) for customers who enjoy content and delivery food, Illy Coffee + Coffee Capsules (Yudok discounted price 18,500 KRW) for those who want a home caf? experience, and Socar + GS25 (Yudok discounted price 8,240 KRW) for travel enthusiasts.


Winners will be announced on the event page on the website on September 8th. Prizes include a premium camping tent worth approximately 1.2 million KRW (1 winner), an LG StanbyMe worth approximately 1.04 million KRW (1 winner), a Celine phone pouch worth approximately 900,000 KRW (1 winner), Ottogi single-living sets (500 winners), and Orion snack sets (500 winners).

We will continue to strive to provide a differentiated subscription experience at a higher level through various services and benefits.”

Customers can freely choose and subscribe to services from 24 partner companies in fields such as OTT/media, delivery/leisure, food, education/audio, shopping/beauty/cosmetics, infant care, cleaning/pet care, and enjoy up to half-price discounts depending on the combination.
