Imhyang Lee and Arim Kim Tied 16th "Still Have a Chance to Turn the Tables"

[Asia Economy Reporter Seohee Lee] Kim Arim (28) and Lee Miyang (29) tied for 16th place on the third day of the LPGA Tour ISPS Handa World Invitational (total prize money $1.5 million) in the United States.

On the 13th (local time), Kim Arim and Lee Miyang scored 3-under par and 1-under par respectively in the third round of the tournament held at Galgorm Castle Golf Club (par 73, 6,621 yards) in Antrim, Northern Ireland, UK. Both recorded a total score of 5-under par 213, placing them in a tie for 16th place. Riona McGuire (Ireland), Jennifer Chang (USA), and Pauline Roussin (France) are also in this group.

Amanda Doherty (USA) shot 1-under par 72 with 5 birdies, 2 bogeys, and 1 double bogey. She maintained her solo lead for the third consecutive day with a total score of 12-under par 206. She is 7 strokes ahead of Lee Miyang and Kim Arim.

Kim Arim failed to reduce her score in the front nine, exchanging one birdie for one bogey, but finished the third round with 3 birdies on the back nine for a 3-under par. Thanks to her strong performance in the latter half, Kim Arim jumped 9 places from the previous day. Lee Miyang recorded 1 eagle, 3 birdies, and 4 bogeys, reducing her score by only one stroke.

Both players still have a chance to aim for a comeback victory. In the previous tournament, the AIG Women's Open, Jeon Inji (28) was 5 strokes behind the leader Ashley Bouchard (South Africa) after three rounds but fiercely chased in the final round to tie. Jeon Inji narrowly lost in the playoff.

Georgia Hall (England) and Pai-Yun Chien (Taiwan) are closely chasing Doherty in second place, tied at 11-under par 207. Emily Pedersen (Denmark), Allyson Korputz (USA), and Maya Stark (Sweden) are tied for fourth place at 10-under par 208.
