[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Nam-gu Children's Meal Management Support Center, operated by Gwangju University (President Kim Dongjin), recently announced on the 12th that it held the '2022 Children's Song and Dance Contest' online.
This contest was organized to help children establish proper eating habits, with 11 teams participating from daycare centers in Nam-gu, Gwangju.
The participating teams prepared for the contest by performing a total of five children's songs?'Kong Kong Kong I Like Beans,' 'Chika Puka Song,' 'Ggeunga My Poop is Pretty,' 'I am the Table Manners King,' and 'Good Good Safe Snack'?along with dance videos produced and provided by the Children's Meal Management Support Center.
In the awards results, the grand prize was awarded to Sejong Daycare Center. Nam-gu Public Heundol Daycare Center and Wooju Daycare Center received the Excellence Award, while the Merit Award went to GL Daycare Center and Heungureum Daycare Center. The Stylish Dancer Award was given to Taeyang Daycare Center and Hyundai Daycare Center, the Little Dancer Award to Siloam Daycare Center, Seohyun Daycare Center, and Yeppeun Daycare Center, and the Participation Award to Pureunsoop Daycare Center.
The Gwangju University Children's Meal Management Support Center plans to produce a special video featuring interviews with the children, directors, and teachers from the grand prize-winning institution.
Center Director Seo Dongju stated, "This contest, based on children's songs and dance videos developed and distributed directly by the center, provided children with an easy and fun opportunity to learn about proper eating habits," adding, "We hope it helped them grow into healthy children."
