[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] The Hwajeong 4-dong Residents' Autonomy Committee (Chairperson Shim Hye-kyung) in Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 12th that it will hold the 2022 Hwajeong 4-dong Residents' General Assembly on the 18th in the meeting room on the 2nd floor of the Hwajeong 4-dong Administrative Welfare Center.
The 'Residents' General Assembly' is a public forum where residents directly discover neighborhood projects, discuss them together, and decide through voting. This year's Hwajeong 4-dong Residents' General Assembly is planned to be held face-to-face for the first time in three years.
Currently, the village agendas submitted to the Residents' General Assembly were discovered through the Village Agenda Discovery Academy and the Student General Assembly held in June and July, and include five items: ▲ Taste Village Children's Park designed by residents ▲ Healthy Knock! Healing Knock! in the green-filled Central Park ▲ Dreaming of coexistence, Hwasa Village considerate parking ▲ Creating a warm Hwasa Village together with neighbors ▲ Creating a Hwasa Village character (logo).
The priority of next year's village agenda projects will be decided by combining the results of the advance voting held until the 16th and the on-site voting on the day of the general assembly. Advance voting can be participated in through the online Naver form and the local administrative welfare center.
The results of the priority voting for the village agenda projects can be checked after the Residents' General Assembly at the meeting room on the 2nd floor of the Hwajeong 4-dong Administrative Welfare Center, the local website, and the Naver Band.
The village agendas confirmed this year will be realized through city and district public contest projects, resident participation budgets, and Residents' Autonomy Committee's own projects, considering the importance and timeliness of the agendas according to their priority.
Shim Hye-kyung, Chairperson of the Hwajeong 4-dong Residents' Autonomy Committee, said, "I am happy to think about meeting residents whom we could not meet due to COVID-19," and added, "I hope for active participation and interest so that Hwasa Village can change through the execution of the village agenda projects proposed by the residents."
