[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Ottogi announced on the 12th that it has collaborated with the traditional vegetarian restaurant ‘Dusugobang’ to launch eight Korean-style vegetarian products?‘Dusugobang Cupbap (4 types) and Juk (4 types)’?which utilize various ingredients such as red beans, perilla seeds, and mushrooms to highlight the strengths of Korean cuisine.
Dusugobang is a vegetarian restaurant operated by Chef Oh Kyung-soon, a disciple of Monk Jeonggwan, a master of temple cuisine. Chef Oh participated in the development of Ottogi Dusugobang’s cupbap and juk menus, creating products that embody the taste and value of Dusugobang.
The Dusugobang juk lineup includes four types: ▲Susupatbeombuk (millet and red bean porridge) ▲Perilla Mushroom Juk ▲Doenjang Barley Juk ▲Black Sesame Juk. ‘Susupatbeombuk’ features a rich and savory flavor combining well-cooked red beans, millet, and glutinous rice. The ‘Perilla Mushroom Juk’ enhances the unique umami of various mushrooms with the nutty flavor of perilla seeds. ‘Doenjang Barley Juk’ offers a savory taste with doenjang broth, incorporating greens, barley, and root vegetables to enhance texture. ‘Black Sesame Juk’ allows you to enjoy the nutty and mild flavor of black sesame seeds. The four types of Dusugobang juk are available for purchase on Ottogi Mall, the official online store, and Market Kurly. Market Kurly is running a limited-time discount promotion for two weeks from the 5th to the 19th.
The Dusugobang cupbap, scheduled for release next month, includes four types: ▲Mountain Vegetable Bibimbap ▲Mushroom Perilla Seaweed Soup Rice ▲Dried Radish Greens Doenjang Soup Rice ▲Assorted Mushroom Rice. ‘Mountain Vegetable Bibimbap’ is flavored with doenjang and fragrant perilla oil, featuring chwinamul (Aster scaber), gondre (wild thistle), bracken, and haebangpung (Siler divaricatum). ‘Mushroom Perilla Seaweed Soup Rice’ combines the deep broth of shiitake mushrooms and seaweed with the nutty flavor of perilla seeds for a hearty meal. ‘Dried Radish Greens Doenjang Soup Rice’ is characterized by a refreshing broth deeply infused with dried radish greens and the savory taste of doenjang seasoning. ‘Assorted Mushroom Rice’ is a nutritious rice dish that brings out the natural flavors of king oyster, oyster, shiitake, enoki, and pine mushrooms with soy sauce and perilla oil.
