Collaboration with a Food Service Reservation Startup
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] KT announced on the 11th that it has partnered with the restaurant reservation service startup ‘Table Manager’ to newly provide the ‘automated phone reservation’ feature for the restaurant industry through the KT AI Call Secretary.
The AI Call Secretary is a service where artificial intelligence answers customer calls to the store on behalf of busy small business owners. When a customer calls the store’s landline number, the AI answers the call according to the phrases set in the dedicated AI Call Secretary app.
By using the newly updated ‘automated phone reservation’ feature, the AI Call Secretary analyzes the call content in real time based on store operation policies such as the number of visitors and reservation time set in advance, determines whether a reservation is possible, and automatically confirms the reservation. Additionally, the AI Call Secretary can now be linked with external reservation services provided by portals or messengers. This allows reservations confirmed through external channels to be viewed and managed at once through the AI Call Secretary, enabling integrated reservation management.
The ‘automated phone reservation’ feature developed jointly by KT and Table Manager is freely available to restaurant customers using the AI Call Secretary without any additional cost. In the future, KT plans to expand the AI Call Secretary’s automatic reservation function beyond the restaurant industry to other sectors such as beauty and real estate in collaboration with Table Manager.
Choi Jun-gi, Head of KT AI/Big Data Business Division, said, “We are pleased to introduce the automated phone reservation feature of KT AI Call Secretary together with the specialized startup Table Manager,” and added, “KT AI Call Secretary will continue to evolve as a platform that supports small business owners.”
