[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] Korea Southern Power Andong Bitdream Headquarters conducted a support activity for operating a parasol rental station to prepare for the summer heatwave for local residents at Andong Hahoe Village on July 28.
The 'Parasol Rental Station' organized by Korea Southern Power Andong Bitdream Headquarters is operated to prevent heat-related illnesses, and this event was held to promote coexistence with the local community.
The 'Parasol Rental Station' was set up at the entrance of the Andong Hahoe Village information center, a UNESCO-designated World Cultural Heritage site, and 80 parasols were donated to the Hahoe Village management office and the event was conducted as a joint campaign.
On August 10, Andong Bitdream Headquarters distributed safety fans to residents near Hahoe Village, including the elderly and vulnerable groups living near the power plant, to prevent heatstroke, sunstroke, and COVID-19.
They provided information about heatwave warnings and the dangers during high-risk hours in summer, and promoted compliance with personal quarantine rules to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Kim Dong-gwon, head of Andong Bitdream Headquarters, said, "Although all citizens are going through difficult times due to the resurgence of COVID-19, I hope this small support helps everyone visiting the local cultural heritage to have good memories," and added, "We will strive to be an institution that works for the public good of the local community."
