Following the Footsteps of History... Busan Education Office Conducts Domestic Project on the Provisional Government March Busan Metropolitan Office of Education.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education will conduct the 2022 Temporary Government Grand March Domestic Project, "Temporary Government Route, That Great Step," for 3 nights and 4 days starting from the 12th.

The project will be conducted for 40 first- and second-year high school students in places such as Cheonan, Cheorwon, and Seoul.

First launched in 2018, the project was an overseas experience program that involved directly exploring the route of the Korean Provisional Government from Shanghai to Chongqing.

The project was not held from 2020 due to the impact of COVID-19, but this year it will be operated as a domestic experience project.

Participating students were selected through a fair screening process including document review, written exams, and interviews from May to June.

The students will start with a visit to the Lee Dong-nyeong Memorial Hall in Cheonan, then explore the History and Culture Park and Goseokjeong in Cheorwon, the Yun Bong-gil Memorial Hall, the Korean Provisional Government Memorial Hall, and the Seodaemun Prison History Hall in Seoul.

At the Korean Provisional Government Memorial Hall, which opened in March this year, students will experience various programs specially prepared for them, such as the "Special Lectures" and the "PBL Program: Decoding the Korean Provisional Charter."

Additionally, during the project period, students will have discussion and presentation sessions, and after completing the project, they will produce and submit research reports, video records, and other materials related to the activities of the Provisional Government and the anti-Japanese independence movement.

The submitted materials will be shared with the students' schools and used as materials for the results report meeting in December this year.

Lee Su-geum, Director of Educational Innovation at the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, said, "The project will be a good opportunity for students to reflect on the significance of the establishment of the Korean Provisional Government and to establish a correct historical perspective."
