Iruda, Record Quarterly Sales... 'Increased Sales and Profitability of Beauty Medical Device Consumables'

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Medical device company Iruda has achieved its highest quarterly performance ever.

Iruda announced on the 11th that it recorded sales of 11.5 billion KRW in the second quarter of this year. Operating profit increased by 283.1% year-on-year to 3 billion KRW, and net profit rose by 396.5% to 3 billion KRW. The cumulative sales and operating profit for the first half of the year were 21.3 billion KRW and 3.8 billion KRW, respectively, marking increases of 58.9% and 100.5% compared to the same period last year.

Iruda achieved quarterly sales exceeding 11 billion KRW for the first time since its establishment. It is maintaining growth in overseas markets with its flagship products, the radiofrequency device ‘Secret RF’ and the combined device ‘FRAXIS DUO’.

In the second quarter, profitability improved due to an increase in cumulative sales of devices using 'Micro Needle' and a rise in sales of 'Micro Needle' consumables.

An Iruda official said, "In the second half of the year, we will launch a new concept laser medical device 'reepot® (hereinafter Reepot)' applying VSLS technology," adding, "We are focusing on marketing activities to maintain sales growth following the new product launch."
