Namwon-si 'Unmanned Civil Service Issuance Machine' Operates 24/7 All Year Round

[Namwon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeong Young-gwon] Namwon City, Jeonbuk, is operating 13 unmanned civil service issuance machines at 12 locations to alleviate residents' inconvenience and provide administrative civil complaint convenience, among which 9 machines at 8 locations are available 24/7 throughout the year.

According to the city on the 10th, the unmanned civil service issuance machines available 24 hours a day are located at City Hall, Geumji-myeon, Inwol-myeon, Geumdong, Namwon Medical Center, MG Saemaeul Geumgo Headquarters, Namwon Nonghyup Dotong Branch, and Namwon Tax Office.

The city newly installed machines in Geumdong and Noam-dong earlier this year to respond to the increased demand for non-face-to-face administration due to COVID-19, and plans to install additional machines next year in areas with high population movement.

Civil petitioners using the unmanned civil service issuance machines can receive up to 111 types of documents, including 89 types such as resident registration certificates and abstracts, land, building, and national tax certificates, 16 types of Korea Workers' Compensation & Welfare Service-related certificates such as employment insurance qualification history statements, and 6 types of passport-related certificates, with fingerprint verification only without an ID card, at fees discounted up to 50%.

All unmanned civil service issuance machines installed in the city accept both cash and card payments and provide convenience features such as voice guidance systems, Braille keypads, and screen magnification functions for socially vulnerable groups.

A city official said, "We will continue to strive to improve citizens' convenience by efficiently operating unmanned civil service issuance machines next year as well."
