Opposition to the Transition Process to the Emergency Committee
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Hyun-joo] Former People Power Party leader Lee Jun-seok has filed an injunction to suspend the effectiveness of the party's transition to a Emergency Response Committee system in court in protest.
On the 10th, Lee Jun-seok announced on his Facebook, "The injunction application has been electronically submitted."
With the launch of the Emergency Response Committee, Lee Jun-seok was automatically dismissed. He is raising issues with about half of the procedures during the transition to the Emergency Response Committee, including the convening of the Supreme Council and the National Committee.
The People Power Party launched the Emergency Response Committee with lawmaker Joo Ho-young as the chairman the day before, but if the injunction is accepted in the future, there is a possibility that the party could fall into greater confusion.
