[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Small and Medium Business Corporation (Chairman Kim Hak-do, hereinafter referred to as SBC) announced on the 10th that it signed a 'Business Agreement for Revitalizing the Scale-up Investment Ecosystem for Small and Medium Venture Businesses' with IBK Investment & Securities.

About 10 people, including Kim Hak-do, Chairman of SBC, and Seo Byung-ki, CEO of IBK Investment & Securities, attended the signing ceremony. This agreement was promoted to establish a public-private cooperative investment support system for promising small and medium venture businesses and to further activate a private-sector-led investment ecosystem.

SBC and IBK Investment & Securities, as specialized support institutions for small and medium enterprises, agreed to combine their financial investment expertise to provide tailored linked support according to the growth stages of small and medium venture businesses.

Through this agreement, the two organizations will cooperate on ▲joint discovery and investment in promising small and medium venture businesses ▲consulting and provision of investment information to improve investment performance ▲scale-up financial support ▲providing preferential financial benefits for promising small and medium venture businesses.

The scale-up finance operated by SBC is a project that supports small and medium venture businesses with growth potential but difficulty in issuing corporate bonds on their own credit to raise large-scale funds from private investors. IBK Investment & Securities plans to support the leap of growing small and medium venture businesses by acquiring subordinated securities.

Kim Hak-do, Chairman of SBC, said, "This agreement is expected to establish an efficient investment support system through public-private cooperation and revitalize the investment market," adding, "We will actively support promising small and medium venture businesses to grow into 'Venture 100 Billion Enterprises' that surpass annual sales of 100 billion won."
