Roman?e-Conti 2017, Dom P?rignon, Wonsoju Gift Sets Released
'Jeju Salgi' Products for Chuseok Gifts, Designed Reflecting Post-Endemic Travel Demand
Enhanced Pre-Purchase Benefits... COVID Self-Test Kit Event Also Included
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Yuri] GS25 announced on the 10th that it has prepared a total of 880 types of holiday gift products for Chuseok 2022. The main Chuseok gift sets were composed in line with recent consumer trends favoring rare products and social changes such as the endemic (periodic outbreaks of infectious diseases). It is also characterized by strengthened benefits such as pre-order purchase discounts for price stabilization.
The representative product of rarity is the 'DRC Roman?e-Conti 2017' worth about 79 million KRW. It is a top-quality wine accompanied by excellent descriptions such as 'Drops of God' and 'the most expensive wine in the world.' It is the most expensive product sold by GS25 this Chuseok.
GS25 also introduces 'Dom P?rignon,' the epitome of premium champagne. There are four types in total, including Dom P?rignon P3 1971 and Dom P?rignon P3 1973, priced around 25 million KRW. All belong to the P3 (Plenitude, the longest aging of over 20 years) line, aged for more than 20 years, and are classified as premium champagne. In addition, GS25 released two collections, the '2006 Vintage Collection' and the '2007 Vintage Collection,' consisting of nine wines including five wines that famous wine critic Robert Parker gave 100 points to, such as 'Ch?teau Margaux,' completing the 'ultra-premium liquor lineup.'
The popular liquor 'Wonsoju' is also available as a GS25 exclusive Chuseok gift set. It is a limited edition 'Wonsoju Planning Set' consisting of two bottles of Wonsoju and two dedicated on-the-rock glasses. The gift set is composed of the original Wonsoju product, not the Wonsoju spirit sold at GS25 stores. The four Dom P?rignon types, two vintage collections, and the Wonsoju planning set can be ordered through GS Retail's smart order service Wine25Plus and picked up at the nearest GS25 store.
In response to the surge in travel demand after the endemic, a 'Living in Jeju' product appeared as a Chuseok gift set. It is a differentiated product launched by GS25 in collaboration with Hanwha Resort Jeju. It operates with four products: Jeju One-Month Stay (30 nights), Jeju Half-Month Stay (15 nights), Jeju Ten-Day Stay (10 nights) priced at 1.03 million KRW, and Jeju One-Week Stay (7 nights). Accommodation is provided at Hanwha Hotels & Resorts, and the standard number of people is five. Customers who purchase the product also receive benefits such as using the golf course 'Plaza CC Jeju' at member prices and a GS25 mobile gift certificate worth 50,000 KRW.
In the era of high inflation, discount events aimed at stabilizing holiday prices were also planned. GS25 offers customers who pre-purchase 112 types of gift sets including Korean beef, fruits, seafood, and handmade ham with affiliated credit cards until the 26th of this month a shocking discount benefit of 1+1 or 2+1 instead of the usual 10+1 or 5+1 free gift promotions. To stabilize holiday prices, the scale of event products and discount rates have been increased compared to previous years, strengthening pre-order purchase benefits. The maximum discount rate is 50%. During the same period, a first-come, first-served event is held where customers who purchase 200,000 KRW using GS Pay, GS Retail's exclusive payment method, receive a GS25 mobile gift certificate worth 10,000 KRW.
For safe holiday travel, COVID-19 self-test kits such as 'Repigen COVID-19 Self-Test 2-Pack' and 'PCL COVID-19 Saliva Test Kit 2-Pack' are offered with 2+1 and 2,000 KRW discount promotions. More than 1,500 popular convenience store products are also available with special prices and 1+1 events.
