"Galleria Embarks on a Trip to England via Department Store" Launches Event in Collaboration with Embassies Galleria 'THIS IS GREAT BRITAIN' Event Poster.

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Yuri] Galleria Department Store announced on the 10th that, together with the British Embassy in Korea, it will hold the 'THIS IS GREAT BRITAIN' event from the 12th of this month to the 4th of next month at three stores: Luxury Hall, Gwanggyo, and Timeworld.

Galleria planned the event to introduce and let customers experience British fashion, lifestyle, and culture in Galleria's own way, in connection with the 'GREAT Campaign,' a national branding campaign led by the UK government that showcases British cultural heritage, arts, and values worldwide.

Notably, a pop-up store selling goods from 'Liberty London,' a British department store with about 140 years of history, as well as British design and lifestyle items, will open at Luxury Hall and Gwanggyo.

At this pop-up, visitors can find Liberty London's iconic 'Liberty Fabric' products. Liberty Fabric is designed and produced directly by Liberty London, characterized by high-quality materials and vibrant patterns. The pop-up will feature cushions, bags, scarves, and more using Liberty Fabric's unique patterns. Additionally, British lifestyle brand products such as 'Lori Dobner,' a ceramic brand known for its distinctive prints, and 'Skyline Chess,' which offers chess games inspired by London architecture, will also be introduced.

At Gwanggyo, there will also be a British LP and record shop, a British bookshop, and a premium British tea shop. The store will be styled like a London street shopping district to provide an engaging experience.

Besides the pop-up stores, each branch will collaborate with leading British brands to offer benefits. At Gourmet 494 Hannam, from August 26 to September 4, a pop-up store for the British whiskey brand 'Royal Salute' will operate, introducing new products for the first time in Korea alongside last year's signature items. Shopping benefits will also be available from British high jewelry brand Graff, as well as Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen, Jo Malone London, Paul Smith, and AllSaints. In addition to British-related product content, Galleria has prepared experiential content to allow customers to experience British culture and arts.

At Daejeon Timeworld, from August 12 to September 1, 'House of Minarima,' a British pop-up store capturing the graphic world of the Harry Potter films, will open. House of Minarima is run in London by Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima, graphic designers for the Harry Potter films. The pop-up will offer limited edition art prints, books, postcards, props, wallpapers, and other Harry Potter-themed goods.

Timeworld and Gwanggyo will also host British-themed cultural center lectures. Key courses include lectures on Jane Austen's literary works, experiences of British tea culture and style, and cooking classes with the British home appliance brand 'Kenwood.' Additionally, Galleria Gwanggyo will hold a 'British Movie Week' in collaboration with CGV, screening British films 'About Time' and 'Becoming Jane' free of charge for customers who make advance reservations through the Galleria application (app).
