[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gui-yeol] Gyeongbuk Province held a kickoff meeting for the basic and detailed design service for the construction of a training center on the 9th at the Byeonggok-myeon Office in Yeongdeok, with more than 40 participants including project stakeholders.
This kickoff meeting was organized to actively implement the winning design "Sosaeng (蘇生)" by Shinhan Architects, selected through a design competition held over five months from February to June this year.
On the day, the project implementation plan and key review points were reported, and various opinions on the project were collected.
The work "Sosaeng (蘇生)" by Shinhan Architects envisions a training center where the value of nature is restored so that the natural ecosystem and humans can be revived, under the theme "Restoration of Nature: Sosaeng (蘇生)_Revival." It allows visitors to fully enjoy the beautiful coastal scenery, sandy beaches, pine forests, and sea breeze.
Gyeongbuk Province plans to complete the design by June next year through detailed architectural planning and to begin construction in August, aiming for completion in the first half of 2026.
The training center is planned to be built on a site of 39,104㎡ in Geomuyok-ri, Byeonggok-myeon, Yeongdeok, with a total floor area of 13,184㎡.
A Gyeongbuk Province official stated, "Through this kickoff meeting for the design service of the Gyeongbuk training center construction, we will actively incorporate stakeholders' opinions and reflect them in the detailed design process. We will do our best to ensure that a world-class and historically significant training center is established."
