The new Deputy Administrator Lee (38th Administrative Examination) began his public service career at the PPS in 1995 and is recognized as a 'procurement policy expert' who has extensively handled key procurement tasks such as purchasing, facility and service contracts, and procurement quality management over 27 years.
While serving as the Director of the Procurement Quality Service, he designated 122 items related to public safety as 'Safety Management Items' for focused management and introduced the investigation and correction of unfair practices for the first time.
Additionally, during his tenure as Planning and Coordination Officer, he increased the PPS's major project budget from 73.2 billion KRW in 2020 to 201 billion KRW in 2022, led the expansion of procurement functions following the transfer of defense materials (2020), and established the 'Innovation Procurement Planning Office' (2021).
Above all, Deputy Administrator Lee is highly regarded for his deep understanding of procurement operations and excellent planning capabilities in legal, organizational, and budgetary areas, raising expectations that he will play a positive role in the PPS's key initiatives such as regulatory innovation in procurement sites and supporting domestic economic growth through public procurement.
