The Second Qualification Exam for Elementary, Middle, and High School Graduates in Busan Region to Be Held on the 11th

From 9 AM, Separate Areas Prepared for Confirmed and Symptomatic Cases at 7 Exam Centers

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] The second qualification exam of the year in the Busan area will be held on the 11th. Separate test sites will also be prepared for COVID-19 confirmed cases and symptomatic individuals.

The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education announced that the "2022 2nd Elementary, Middle, and High School Graduation Qualification Exam" will be conducted at seven test centers in the city, including Myeongjin Middle School in Buk-gu, starting from 9 a.m. on the day.

A total of 1,868 candidates will take this qualification exam, including 130 for elementary school, 327 for middle school, and 1,411 for high school.

The elementary school test site is at Myeongjin Middle School, the middle school test site is at Yangun Middle School, and the high school test sites are at Busan Girls' Middle School (Test Site 1), Busan Gaeseong Middle School (Test Site 2), Yeonil Middle School (Test Site 3), and Jangsan Middle School (Test Site 4), respectively.

The test site for inmates is set up at Busan Prison. Those in COVID-19 self-quarantine or confirmed cases who wish to take the exam can do so at separate test sites such as Busan Electronics Technical High School and Samyuk Busan Hospital.

This exam will be conducted in compliance with the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters' test quarantine management, including maintaining a minimum distance of 1 meter between candidates, disinfecting before and after the exam by professional disinfection companies, and restricting access to anyone other than candidates and exam officials.

The Busan Office of Education has established a cooperative system with the responsible health center to prepare for symptomatic individuals on the exam day. Separate test rooms have also been prepared at each test site for symptomatic candidates.

Infection control officers are designated at each test site to check for symptomatic individuals on the exam day and manage mask-wearing, hand sanitizer use, social distancing, and ventilation.

The successful candidates will be announced on August 30 at 10 a.m. on the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education website. Certificates of passing will be issued at the Busan Office of Education Customer Support Office. Further details are provided on the city education office website.
