[Asia Economy Reporter Yoon Seul-gi] A bus company in Yeosu, Jeollanam-do, is facing growing controversy after it was revealed that the company sent sexually harassing group text messages to drivers during singer Psy's 'Hmphbbok Show' held in Yeosu.

On the 8th, a text message sent by a bus company in Yeosu to 180 drivers affiliated with the company on the morning of the 6th, the day of the Hmphbbok Show, was disclosed on an online community.

The message, which began with "Notice from the Sales Department," contained a request for drivers to drive safely, mentioning that the area around the bus terminal near Jinnam Sports Complex, where the event was held, was congested.

The issue arose from the sexually harassing phrase at the end of the message. The text read, "Slim and well-endowed young ladies from all over the country (30,000 people) have gathered, so please think of today as a day to enjoy the view and work hard."

As this fact became known, netizens criticized it as "sexually degrading women" and "sexual objectification of female bus users."

Meanwhile, the company reportedly apologized, stating that the message was sent as a form of encouragement amid the growing controversy.
