Listen to Their Voices... Ulleung-gun Youth Policy Participation Group Launch Ceremony Held

Ulleung-gun held the inaugural ceremony for the 1st Youth Policy Participation Group on the 5th.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kyungho Ahn] Ulleung-gun, Gyeongbuk, formed the '1st Ulleung-gun Youth Policy Participation Group' and held an inauguration ceremony on the 5th to promote youth participation in county administration.

The 12 members appointed to the 1st group will participate in the youth policy implementation process during their two-year term. They will engage in various activities such as communication and opinion gathering with local youth, exchange with domestic and international youth organizations, and share and discuss their achievements through regular biannual meetings and year-end performance reports to reflect them in policies.

The inauguration ceremony began with the presentation of appointment letters by Nam Han-kwon, the governor of Ulleung-gun, followed by explanations of operational directions and activity plans. Then, to mark the start of their activities, they flew paper airplanes folded with the dreams of youth.

Governor Nam said, “I hope the 1st Ulleung-gun Youth Policy Participation Group becomes a communication body that captures the voices of local youth, and by reflecting policies created directly by youth in county administration, we will create an Ulleungdo filled with laughter together with local youth.”
