Korea Management Certification Institute Holds 2022 Labor-Management Relations Excellence Company Certification Briefing (Online)

The Korea Management Certification Institute (CEO Hwang Eun-joo) announced on the 8th that it will hold the '2022 3rd Labor-Management Relations Excellence Company Certification Briefing (Online)' on the 24th.

The 'Labor-Management Relations Excellence Company Certification' briefing will be held online via ZOOM and will cover an overview of the certification, examination criteria and scoring guidelines, as well as preparation for application and a Q&A session.

Introduced and operated since 2021, the 'Labor-Management Relations Excellence Company Certification' is a system where the Korea Management Certification Institute, a professional certification and evaluation organization, grants certification through evaluation to organizations that have formed mutually respectful, trust-based, cooperative, and future-oriented labor-management relations.

The evaluation items are divided into three parts: ▲ Labor-Management Relations Leadership (interviews with top executives and worker/labor union representatives) ▲ Labor-Management Relations Maturity (cooperation: labor-management partnership, etc. / trust: compliance with labor-management agreements, etc. / communication: information sharing between labor and management, etc. / participation: participation in labor-management activities, etc.) through an online survey ▲ Labor-Management Relations Performance (period without disputes, overall satisfaction with labor-management relations). Certification requires a total score of 700 points or more and at least 60% of the maturity score.

An official from the Labor-Management Relations Excellence Company Certification Secretariat at the Korea Management Certification Institute stated, "To actively respond to ESG management social sector requirements, it is necessary to establish mutually respectful labor-management relations that reflect the opinions of all members. Systematic efforts are needed to maintain cooperative labor-management relations by resolving costly conflicts through trust-based relations, boosting worker morale, and improving organizational productivity."

The companies certified as Labor-Management Relations Excellence Institutions in 2021 include Korea South-East Power Co., Ltd. Yeongheung Power Headquarters, Korea Southern Power, Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, Lotte Duty Free, Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, Ansan Urban Corporation, Korea Energy Agency, Ulsan Port Authority, SR Corporation, Seodaemun-gu Urban Management Corporation, Korea Midland Power Co., Ltd.
