[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Ulsan Ulju-gun awarded a plaque of appreciation for bravery on the 8th to Kim Geon-hwi, who saved a child bitten by a dog in an apartment complex in Ulju-gun last month on the 11th.


According to Ulju-gun, Kim, who works as a delivery driver, witnessed an 8-year-old child being bitten by a dog at an apartment complex in Ulju-gun around 1:20 p.m. on the 11th of last month and chased the dog away using his delivery cart.


He was recognized for his contribution to tracking and capturing the dog, preventing further casualties.


Kim Geon-hwi said, "I did what I naturally had to do, and I am grateful to receive such an award," adding, "Above all, I hope the injured child recovers quickly and overcomes the trauma."


Lee Soon-geol, the mayor of Ulju-gun, said, "It was a dangerous moment that could have led to a serious accident, but thanks to Kim Geon-hwi's brave actions, the child was saved and greater damage was prevented," and expressed his gratitude for his strong sense of duty and courage.
