Woongjin ThinkBig Accelerates Global Expansion of Augmented Reality Reading Product ‘ARpedia’ Woongjin ThinkBig 'AR (Augmented Reality) Pedia'.

[Asia Economy Reporter Kwak Minjae] Woongjin ThinkBig announced on the 8th that it will officially begin the global expansion of its augmented reality (AR) reading product, ‘ARpedia,’ starting with Brazil.


In July, Woongjin ThinkBig signed a contract to sell 5,000 sets with KROSS Elegance, a Brazilian tech device and educational content distributor. Subsequently, it also signed export contracts with educational and publishing companies in countries such as Mexico, Kuwait, and Israel. The company is rapidly expanding its overseas sales channels by establishing partnerships for sales cooperation with numerous foreign companies.


ARpedia is a product that provides a three-dimensional reading experience by implementing characters and illustrations from books using augmented reality technology. Woongjin ThinkBig has been expanding its connections with global buyers by participating in electronics and education exhibitions such as CES in the United States, BETT in the United Kingdom, and ISTE in the United States.


In addition to the currently supported Korean and English languages, the company plans to accelerate its entry into overseas local markets by preparing multilingual support within the year for Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish, and Arabic.


Choi Samrak, Head of IT Development at Woongjin ThinkBig, said, "Overseas companies are showing great interest in ARpedia, which combines Korea’s outstanding learning content with tech technology. We will continue to participate in various overseas exhibitions scheduled for the second half of the year to widely promote the differentiated excellence of Korean educational products."
