[This Week's IPO] August Second Week Demand Forecast and Subscription Schedule

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] In the second week of this month (August), Daesung Hightech and Socar will conduct general subscription offerings.



◆Daesung Hightech= Daesung Hightech's desired public offering price band is 7,400 to 9,000 KRW, with a total offering amount of approximately 24.6 billion to 29.9 billion KRW. Demand forecasting for institutional investors was conducted on the 4th and 5th, and general subscription will take place on the 9th and 10th, with plans to list on the KOSDAQ this month. The lead underwriter is Shinhan Investment Corp.


Daesung Hightech is a company engaged in precision parts business, Swiss-type automatic lathes, and compact machining center business. Based on ultra-precision processing technology, it supplies over 8,000 types of ultra-precision parts to global industrial machinery makers. Starting this year, it is expanding its upstream industries into various high value-added advanced industries with high profitability, such as secondary battery equipment parts, overseas defense parts, foldable phone hinge parts, and parts for electric and hydrogen vehicles.


◆Socar= Socar's desired public offering price range is 34,000 to 45,000 KRW, with an expected offering amount of approximately 204.8 billion KRW based on the upper limit of the price band. Demand forecasting for institutional investors was conducted on the 4th and 5th, and general subscription will be held on the 10th and 11th. It is scheduled to be listed on the KOSPI this month. The lead underwriter is Mirae Asset Securities, joint underwriters are Samsung Securities, and the managing underwriter is Yuanta Securities.


Socar is the number one car-sharing operator in the domestic market, running a mobility platform business including vehicle rentals. Currently, it operates more than 18,000 vehicles at over 4,200 Socar zones, holding over 70% market share. As of May, the cumulative number of members reached about 8 million, equivalent to one-quarter of domestic licensed drivers, with approximately 10 million cumulative app downloads and 650,000 cumulative membership subscriptions.
