Damyang-gun Promotes Carbon Neutrality with Relay Non-Face-to-Face Plogging Campaign

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] The Damyang-gun Volunteer Center in Jeonnam announced on the 5th that it will promote a non-face-to-face plogging campaign for carbon neutrality practice for two weeks from the 15th to the 26th.

Plogging is a compound word of the Swedish 'Plocka Upp (to pick up)' and the English 'Jogging,' and is a volunteer activity that involves picking up trash while walking.

It is a volunteer activity that protects both health and the environment by picking up trash while taking a walk or jogging.

The activity locations are around Gwanbangjerim and Yongmarugil, and any Damyang-gun residents can participate freely, including registered volunteers and groups at the center.

Applications can be made through the 1365 Volunteer Portal or the Damyang-gun Volunteer Center.

An official from the county said, "We hope that participating in the non-face-to-face plogging campaign for carbon neutrality practice will protect health and realize a pleasant Damyang-gun," adding, "We will continue to promote various volunteer activities that can be participated in daily life."
