Korean Air and Asiana Cancel Direct Flights to Taiwan on the 6th as Well

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] As China conducts military exercises around Taiwan in response to U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's visit to Taiwan, disruptions continue in airline operations on routes to Taiwan.

According to the aviation industry on the 5th, Asiana Airlines has decided to cancel direct flights between Incheon and Taiwan on the 6th as well, following cancellations on the 5th due to the impact of China's military exercises.

The flight on the 7th will be operated three hours later than originally scheduled, considering the military exercise times. Since China's military exercises are announced to continue until 1 p.m. on the 7th, flight schedules until then have been canceled or adjusted. Customers affected by the cancellations will be able to change their reservations to direct flights on the 7th or later or receive refunds free of charge.

Korean Air has also adjusted its schedule. Operating direct flights to Taiwan five times a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, Korean Air canceled the direct flights scheduled for the 5th and 6th and decided to operate the flight on the 7th one hour later than planned.
