[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] Actors Sung Yu-bin, Won Ji-an, and Jo Hyun-chul come together in the 10-episode series Cheerful Outcast.
On the 5th, Lotte Entertainment announced that Cheerful Outcast (directed by Min Yong-geun) began filming on July 21.
Cheerful Outcast is a series depicting the story of students trapped in a school after a sudden earthquake, revealing their true natures. Based on the first part of the webtoon of the same name by writer Kim Soong-nyung, it is a disaster, thriller, and school drama portraying students isolated in a school during a disaster. Sung Yu-bin plays Dong-hyun, Won Ji-an plays Su-hyun, and Jo Hyun-chul plays Young-gyun.
This is director Min Yong-geun’s first series, who directed the film Hyehwa, Dong and is preparing for the release of Soulmate. Writer Kim Botong, who wrote the webtoon D.P. Dog Days, participated in the screenplay, and Climax Studio, which produced the series D.P. and Hellbound, along with Lotte Entertainment, co-produced the series.
