[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Ji-woon] Jeonnam Hwasun County announced on the 4th that it is accepting applications for the ‘2022 Retiree Small-scale Greenhouse Support Project,’ which provides multi-purpose small-scale vinyl greenhouses and production auxiliary facilities necessary for agricultural management, with a total project cost of 1.43 billion KRW.
Eligible applicants are retirees who have resided in the county for more than one year as of the application date and have switched to agriculture after retiring from other occupations, those wishing to switch within one year, and returnees to farming or rural areas who have lived in urban areas for more than one year but have not yet reached five years since moving in.
Support is provided for the construction of greenhouses ranging from 330㎡ to 660㎡ per farm.
Disaster-resistant facility greenhouses are supported at 25,000 KRW per ㎡, and greenhouses including environmental management facilities such as irrigation systems and automatic opening/closing are supported at 30,000 KRW per ㎡.
If applicants wish to build taller and larger greenhouses than disaster-resistant facility greenhouses according to the desired crop, support rates will be adjusted realistically after prior review.
Additional facilities such as ventilation systems will have unit prices calculated based on actual estimates and will be supported at a subsidy rate of 70% with a 30% self-payment ratio.
Applications can be submitted to the industry team at the administrative welfare center of the town or township with jurisdiction over the project location by the 26th.
