[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] The KOSPI and KOSDAQ indices continue their upward trend in the afternoon session.
At 1:40 PM on the 4th, the KOSPI stood at 2469.60, up 0.36% (8.15 points) compared to the previous trading day. The index opened the day at 2478.44, up 0.69% (16.99 points) from the previous close, and has maintained its upward momentum into the afternoon. Looking at investor trends, foreigners and individuals bought stocks worth 100.1 billion KRW and 73.3 billion KRW respectively, while institutions sold stocks worth 184.4 billion KRW alone.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, Samsung Electronics (0.49%), LG Energy Solution (1.26%), NAVER (0.93%), and Kakao (6.45%) showed gains. Conversely, SK Hynix (-0.1%), Samsung Biologics (-0.34%), LG Chem (-0.98%), Hyundai Motor (-0.76%), and Samsung SDI (-0.34%) declined.
The KOSDAQ index at the same time stood at 824.39, up 1.11% (9.03 points) from the previous trading day. The index opened at 820.06, up 0.58% (4.70 points) from the previous close, and continued its upward trend into the afternoon. Regarding investor trends, foreigners bought stocks worth 90.3 billion KRW, while individuals and institutions sold stocks worth 53.2 billion KRW and 22.4 billion KRW respectively.
Most of the top market capitalization stocks on the KOSDAQ also showed gains. EcoPro BM (-0.08%) and L&F (-1.02%) declined, while Celltrion Healthcare (0.98%), HLB (3.96%), Kakao Games (1.21%), Pearl Abyss (2.79%), Celltrion Pharm (1.45%), Alteogen (7.47%), EcoPro (3.34%), and Wemade (23.24%) rose.
