Soonchul Cyber University (President Han Heon-su) held the ‘Convergence Asset Management Department Day’ event on July 29 to activate the alumni network.

The ‘Convergence Asset Management Department Day’ event, held at Jinjin Sura Gwanghwamun Branch located in Gwanghwamun, Seoul, was attended by about 60 people including President Han Heon-su, Vice President Jeong Byeong-uk, Head of the Convergence Asset Management Department Kim Hak-hwan, department heads, full-time professors, and alumni of the department. The event began with the opening declaration by Lee Jeong-jae, Head of the Department of Entertainment Arts Management and Director of Planning, followed by a prayer by Vice President Jeong Byeong-uk, a commemorative speech by Head Kim Hak-hwan, and congratulatory remarks by President Han Heon-su. After the dinner, Professor Kim Yoon-seok of the Department of Real Estate gave a special lecture on ‘Real Estate Investment and Tax Saving Strategies According to the 2022 Revised Tax Law.’

President Han Heon-su of Soonchul Cyber University said in his congratulatory speech, “I am honored to be able to join the first ‘Department Day’ event prepared for the harmony and progressive relationship building among department alumni,” adding, “There is no disagreement that the Convergence Asset Management Department is a pivotal force leading this social phenomenon, as the need for highly skilled personnel with advanced theoretical knowledge and technology is emphasized in the knowledge information society.”

President Han Heon-su continued, “I hope this event will become a platform for progressive discourse to explore creative and convergent social service measures that will lead the Fourth Industrial Revolution era.”

The Convergence Asset Management Department at Soonchul Cyber University consists of eight departments: Business Administration, Financial Asset Management, Law and Public Administration, Real Estate, Beauty and Cosmetology Arts, Tax Accounting, Sports Rehabilitation Welfare, and Entertainment Arts Management. It provides education in various specialized fields that combine convergent knowledge and practical skills in asset management such as finance and real estate, as well as entertainment, beauty, and sports management. The department aims to nurture creative and convergent social service experts who can actively respond to the 100-year life era and contribute to society.

Soonchul Cyber University operates four departments: the Convergence Asset Management Department, ICT and Urban Infrastructure Engineering Department, Humanities and Arts Department, and Human Services Department. The university announced that it will continuously plan and operate Department Day events to promote unity and network building among alumni of each department.

Starting with this ‘Convergence Asset Management Department Day’ event, the university plans to hold ‘ICT and Urban Infrastructure Engineering Department Day,’ ‘Humanities and Arts Department Day,’ and ‘Human Services Department Day’ events over the next three months in August, September, and October, respectively. Additionally, a ‘Unified Department Day’ event involving all departments is planned for the end of the year.

Meanwhile, Soonchul Cyber University, established in 1997 as Korea’s first online educational institution, has been producing talented individuals in various fields who contribute to national and social development under the educational philosophy of Christianity, ‘Truth’ and ‘Service.’ The admissions for the second semester of the 2022 academic year are ongoing until the 17th.
