August to November, 12 Events Total with 3 Each in Yeosu, Suncheon, Gwangyang, and Boseong
[Yeosu=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Cheol-hoon] The "Namdo Sea Road Camping Festival" will be held on Nangdo Island, an ecological tourism site in Yeosu City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Jeong Gi-myeong).
It was planned as part of the 6th zone program among the "Top 10 Themed Trips in Korea" to promote the beautiful tourist resources of Namdo and improve camping culture.
From August to November, a total of 12 events will be held, three times each in Yeosu, Suncheon, Gwangyang, and Boseong.
At Yeosu Nangdo Camping Site, the events will be held on August 19 and 26, and September 2, with 36 teams recruited per session.
The participation fee is 130,000 KRW, which includes one camping site and local specialties (rice, pork, seafood).
Main programs include a group game in the evening, cultural performances, talent shows, star constellation explanations, potluck parties where participants share food, wellness meditation, and various other programs.
An AI motion recognition game zone for children will also be permanently operated to add more enjoyment.
A city official said, "This camping festival was planned to improve the camping culture where only trash is left behind and to create a culture of coexistence between the local community and campers," adding, "It will be a special experience where camping participants can enjoy and share together while fully appreciating the beautiful Namdo Sea Road."
