Safety Priority Urged to Prevent Casualties
County Governor Gu In-mo is conducting an on-site inspection of construction sites in preparation for natural disasters.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam conducted on-site inspections of large construction sites within the jurisdiction on the 1st to prepare for damage caused by natural disasters during the summer season.
On that day, County Governor Gu In-mo visited the first phase construction site of The Sharp Geochang Pogureusiel Apartments and the road widening and expansion construction site at Gocheok Village in Namsang-myeon to listen to residents' opinions and thoroughly inspect safety management conditions and emergency response plans in preparation for natural disasters such as heavy rain, typhoons, and heatwaves.
Governor Gu said, "Considering the recent weather conditions, there is a high possibility of unpredictable localized heavy rain. Please regularly check weather information and prepare in advance through pre-inspections and safety management to prevent any damage."
Meanwhile, since June, the county has been focusing on minimizing damage through frequent on-site inspections by intensively inspecting five areas at risk of human casualties, 146 disaster-vulnerable facilities, 128 facilities related to the Special Act on Safety and Maintenance of Facilities, and construction sites in preparation for natural disasters during the summer season.
