[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] TMON announced on the 2nd that it has signed a business agreement with 'Mullae Bit,' the content production company of popular creator Jjuyang, who has 6.72 million subscribers, to expand content commerce.
The two companies agreed to collaborate on ▲content planning and production ▲strengthening sales of products linked to content ▲building a sustainable content commerce ecosystem. The content jointly produced by the two companies will be released on Jjuyang's official YouTube channel.
The first joint project is titled 'Uriga Gukgwa Daepyo' (We Are the National Soup Representatives). This content was planned to help expand online sales channels for domestic fruit producers. TMON will hold a special exhibition selling high-quality domestic fruits throughout the second half of the year, and Jjuyang will visit the product origins to showcase content and support product sales.
Analysis of the 'Peach Episode' released last month showed that it has been practically helpful to fruit farms. Jjuyang's 'Peach Mukbang' video attracted attention with 2 million views, and customer indicators for the 'Uriga Gukgwa Daepyo' special exhibition also increased. During the first week after the exhibition started, peach sales rose by 40% compared to the same period previously, and the number of purchases and purchasing customers each increased by about 10%. Notably, the proportion of customers in their 20s and 30s increased by 5 percentage points, leading consumption among younger consumers.
TMON plans to continuously strengthen content collaboration with Mullae Bit to take the lead in promoting domestic fruit consumption. The second episode, to be released this month, will be filmed with grapes as the theme. Jang Yoon-seok, CEO of TMON, said, "It is very meaningful to work together with Jjuyang, the number one figure in domestic mukbang content, to help domestic farms and encourage good consumption. We will continue to expand collaboration with Mullae Bit to increase content that delivers positive influence not only to various partners but also to customers."
