[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Cube Entertainment announced on the 2nd that it has signed a business agreement with Hana Bank to create a global metaverse ecosystem.
This business agreement between the two companies covers the entire blockchain business including NFT and metaverse, focusing on joint service cooperation, joint marketing using both companies' IPs, and promotions utilizing the sports sector sponsored by Hana Bank. Going forward, the two companies plan to actively collaborate across all business areas to grow together in the global market through Cube Entertainment's metaverse ecosystem.
Hana Bank announced on the 11th that it had formed a partnership with 'The Sandbox', the world's largest metaverse platform, opened a virtual branch within 'The Sandbox's 'Land', and started providing basic banking services. The bank plans to create joint business models through investments and partnerships with companies participating in 'The Sandbox' ecosystem.
Cube Entertainment signed a partnership with 'The Sandbox' in March and acquired a large-scale Land. Subsequently, it participated in a paid-in capital increase of 'Nestri', the official builder studio of 'The Sandbox' in Korea, establishing a partnership and receiving technical support. Since 'Nestri' is the official builder studio of 'The Sandbox', Cube Entertainment is known to be providing planning and technical support for the overall 'Korean Complex Cultural Space (K-village)' being built within 'The Sandbox's 'K-Verse' space.
A Cube Entertainment representative said, “We are currently partnering with leading domestic companies to spread various K-content globally through the 'Korean Complex Cultural Space (K-village)'.” He added, “Through this business agreement with Hana Bank, it has become possible to establish a financial ecosystem within the global blockchain ecosystem that Cube Entertainment is promoting.”
