Mr. Blue to Release Numerous New Games in Second Half of Year... "Planning to Showcase P&E Games"

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Mr. Blue is expanding its business scope by establishing a game publishing division and a new business development team to include metaverse and P&E (Play and Earn) integrated games. Various new games will be released in the second half of this year, along with the launch of the EOS Red P&E version.

According to Mr. Blue on the 2nd, Blue Potion Games will release new games such as ‘Dark Hero Dash,’ ‘World of Warfare: Battleship 1942,’ and ‘Legend Slayer’ starting in the second half of this year.

Currently accepting pre-registrations, Dark Hero Dash is Blue Potion Games’ first published game. It is an idle game featuring pixel graphics and exhilarating hit sensations, expected to provide strong immersion. They are preparing to officially launch Dark Hero Dash on the 4th, with the possibility of an early release depending on circumstances.

In the third quarter of this year, ‘World of Warfare: Battleship 1942’ will be launched targeting overseas users. Through a soft launch, content quality and business model (BM) refinement will be carried out, followed by an improved version for overseas release. ‘Legend Slayer’ is planned to be introduced in the fourth quarter.

The P&E version of ‘EOS Red’ is being prepared and verified in response to the rapidly changing game market situation. A Mr. Blue official stated, “We are collaborating with partners for the P&E version of ‘EOS Red’ utilizing the EOS IP (intellectual property),” and added, “We will introduce a high-quality P&E game to overseas markets, focusing on Southeast Asia.”

The mobile game ‘EOS Red’ released by Mr. Blue gained popularity in the Korean and Greater China markets. It recorded one million pre-registrations in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau. All servers prepared on the event launch day were fully booked, attracting significant attention.

A company representative explained, “For loyal EOS users, P&E games will be a new factor for success,” and added, “Through blockchain technology, the business can expand to NFT ventures, which is expected to diversify revenue structures.”

They continued, “We are also pursuing cooperation with small-scale game developers to secure additional growth engines,” emphasizing, “We will strive to generate various revenues based on a stable core business.”

The core business of webtoon and web novel content production (CP) is steadily growing. In the first quarter, based on highly competitive IP, the company recorded sales of 15.8 billion KRW and operating profit of 2.3 billion KRW. External growth is also expected through the web novel companies Youngsang Publishing Media and Donga Media, acquired last February.
