Roswell to Supply Smart Home Terminal System Worth 28.9 Billion KRW to China's ZTE Overview of the dedicated production line for Gangso Roswell smart home terminal system

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] Roswell International announced on the 1st that its subsidiary Jiangsu Roswell has signed a supply contract with China ZTE for 1.41 million sets of 1Gbps PON (Passive Optical Network) smart home terminal systems.

Through this contract, Jiangsu Roswell plans to complete the phased delivery of systems worth 150 million yuan (approximately 28.9 billion KRW) by the end of December.

Previously, in December last year, Jiangsu Roswell was selected as the supplier of ZTE smart home terminal systems and signed a cumulative supply contract worth 1.6472 trillion KRW over five years until the end of April 2027.

A representative of Jiangsu Roswell stated, "In the first half of this year, along with registering as a ZTE partner, we successfully completed the construction of a dedicated new factory for smart home information terminal system production and pilot production for mass production verification." They added, "The initial delivery of 100,000 sets of GPON terminal systems ordered on May 27 also met ZTE's quality standards and was completed without any issues."

Jiangsu Roswell has completed the first phase of investment in a dedicated production line for smart home terminals and currently operates six SMT lines, four welding lines, and four assembly lines designated by ZTE. Additionally, they have established a smart manufacturing process based on software such as ERP, PLM, OA, and WMS that meets ZTE's production, process, and quality standards, and by introducing a Manufacturing Execution System (MES), they have also obtained ZTE global supplier code certification.

Heo Ihwa, head of Roswell International's Korea office, said, "After signing a large-scale supply contract with ZTE at the end of last year, through a thorough six-month preparation process, we obtained mass production verification and quality certification, putting the ZTE smart home terminal project on track." He added, "With full-scale mass production and diversification of production items, we will secure an annual production capacity of 20 million sets."

Meanwhile, as a supplier of ZTE's smart home terminal systems, Jiangsu Roswell is expanding its network solution business based on 5G communication. The company plans to strengthen its position as a leading next-generation smart IoV (Internet of Vehicles) electronic system and solution provider not only in 5G IoT (Internet of Things) solutions but also in the V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) smart transportation system sector, based on a strategic partnership with ZTE.
