[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Hansome, a fashion specialist company affiliated with Hyundai Department Store Group, announced on the 31st that its luxury skincare brand ‘Oera’ has completed registration of its wrinkle and whitening functional cosmetics with the European Cosmetics Notification Portal (CPNP).
CPNP is a cosmetics registration system operated by the European Commission, and all cosmetics distributed within Europe must be registered under this system. To register with CPNP, products must pass safety tests and various microbial tests.
The cosmetics registered with CPNP this time are Oera’s flagship product, the ‘Multi-Benefit Calibrator,’ a wrinkle and whitening functional skincare product containing Oera’s proprietary ingredients. It was developed in collaboration with the ‘Swiss Cosmetics Research Institute,’ known for its excellent functional skincare manufacturing technology, and is produced in Switzerland using pure Swiss water and premium raw materials.
Hansome plans to sequentially register Oera’s main products with CPNP starting with the Multi-Benefit Calibrator, aiming to expand sales channels primarily through overseas distributors currently exporting existing fashion products.
A Hansome representative said, “We see the CPNP registration of the Multi-Benefit Calibrator as a stepping stone for Oera’s exports to Europe,” adding, “We will continue to expand overseas sales channels by acquiring various global certifications.”
