[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Andong City in Gyeongbuk Province conducted a 'Wolyeong Nadri' tour on the first day of the '2022 Andong Cultural Heritage Night Tour (Wolyeong Night Tour)' on the 28th, with Mayor and about 50 senior officials directly participating in the Wolyeong Night Tour.
From July 28 to 31, the four-day '2022 Andong Cultural Heritage Night Tour (Wolyeong Night Tour)' is held around Andong Dam Wolyeonggyo Bridge. To support the successful event, the mayor and senior officials inspected the event site in advance before welcoming weekend tourists and took time to encourage event staff.
Starting with the Mugunghwa Festival held at the Municipal Folk Museum → walking the Cultural Heritage Moonlight Street → visiting the photo zone & cultural heritage exhibition → moonlight radio → walking the moonlight lighting street → crossing Wolyeonggyo Bridge (traditional lantern exhibition), the route was traveled on foot. They checked the folk village road area, which many tourists will use, as well as various convenience facilities such as traffic and parking, carefully examining every corner of the event site.
Mayor Kwon Ki-chang participated in the ‘Wolyeong Nadeuri’ tour, joining about 50 city officials including the mayor himself on the first day of the 2022 Andong Cultural Heritage Event to experience the Wolyeong Night Walk firsthand.
This Wolyeong Night Tour captivates citizens and tourists with its richer nighttime scenery, attractions, and a beautifully harmonized fountain spectacle.
The diverse programs including performances and exhibitions that allow visitors to fully enjoy coolness on hot summer days, cultural talk concerts, haunted traditional house experiences, and food trucks are expected to provide joyful memories and emotions for families, couples, and friends.
An Andong City official said, “We are taking care of even the smallest details to ensure a safe and satisfying event for citizens and tourists, so we ask for much interest and participation in the 2022 Cultural Heritage Night Tour (Wolyeong Night Tour), which runs until this Sunday.”
