[Jangseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jo Hangyu] Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do is recruiting consignment corner tenants for the ‘Gwangju Area Jangseong Local Food Direct Store’ located in Oryong-dong, Gwangju Metropolitan City, until the 3rd of next month.
According to the county on the 29th, the Gwangju Area Jangseong Local Food Direct Store was built as a two-story building on a 5,257㎡ site.
The first floor of the local food direct store is equipped with facilities that can accommodate 10 stores including local agricultural products, meat, seafood, bakery, side dishes, rice cakes, a local cafe, and a food court. The second floor is equipped with an education center and cooking class facilities where consumer education and experience programs can be operated.
The Gwangju Area direct store sells only agricultural, fishery, and livestock products to preserve the public value of local agricultural products (local food).
Consumers, who initially felt unfamiliar, are increasingly registering as members and increasing sales as they sympathize with the purpose of operation.
Previously, since its temporary opening on the 14th of last month, the county has recorded sales of 900 million KRW to date.
In particular, the excellent location conditions attract attention. The Oryong-dong area in Buk-gu, where the direct store is located, forms a consumer market of about 120,000 people, and it is close to the planned development site of the Cheomdan 3 District, so there is great potential for development.
It is adjacent to farms in the Jangseong area, allowing fresh agricultural specialty products to be stocked at all times.
Also, it has a large parking space capable of accommodating 100 cars simultaneously, providing good accessibility for consumers.
The scale of direct store tenants being recruited by the county is a total of three locations: one side dish and rice cake corner, and two external food court spots. The contract period is two years and can be extended up to five years.
