[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Ji-woon] Jeonnam Hwasun-gun (Governor Gu Bok-gyu) announced on the 29th that it will hold a public contest for the 'Second Half Lifelong Education Program Support Project' from the 1st to the 12th of next month to improve the quality of life of local residents and expand learning opportunities.
The fields are divided into two categories: Visiting Humanities and Lifelong Learning, and Humanities Happiness Centers.
Fifteen teams will be selected for the Visiting Humanities and Lifelong Learning courses, and five locations for the Humanities Happiness Centers.
Local residents, village representatives, and related organizations (facilities) can apply, and they must have a place and facilities suitable for learning.
The county will finalize the recipients next month after reviewing the project content, learning location, and learner management, and those selected will receive support for instructor dispatch and partial costs for materials (textbooks) necessary for education.
Learning teams wishing to participate in the project can apply by visiting or mailing the General Affairs Department of the county office with the application form and required documents posted on the Hwasun-gun website's public notice section.
A county official said, "We hope this project will provide an opportunity for anyone in the community to take lifelong learning courses anywhere in the region," and added, "We encourage active participation from local residents and institutions wishing to apply."
