Customized 'Dojang' Talent Development... Dong-Eui Science University and Jogwang Paint Collaborate to Train Automotive Repair and Painting Specialists Dong-Eui University of Science and Technology and Jokwang Paint are establishing an industry-academic cooperation to train specialized personnel in advanced automobile repair and painting fields, such as electric vehicles.


[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Dooyul] Dong-Eui Institute of Technology has signed an industry-academia cooperation agreement with Jogwang Paint to cultivate specialized personnel in the field of advanced automobile repair and painting.


At the signing ceremony held on the 25th, Dong-Eui Institute of Technology President Kim Young-do, Professors Lee Sang-jun and Lee Jong-ho from the Department of Electric Vehicles, Jogwang Paint Vice President Lee Bong-hee, Team Leader Lee Sung-dong, and other representatives from both institutions attended.


According to the agreement, the two institutions will jointly operate customized education programs to nurture talent specialized in automobile painting.


Dong-Eui Institute of Technology stated, "By utilizing the knowledge, technology, and infrastructure related to automobile repair painting possessed by both institutions, we aim to promote mutual development and provide students with professional practical skills through field-centered automobile repair and painting education, thereby enhancing their employment competitiveness."


Jogwang Paint, established in 1947, is a local Busan company in the chemical and materials sector, focusing on research, development, and production of versatile products applied in architecture, medium-sized vessels, automobiles, industry, and shipbuilding, as well as coatings and paints used in IT and new material industries.


Since 2012, it has been selected for the National Human Resources Development Consortium project hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea, and operates a Coating Education Center to train experts in the domestic coating and painting industry.


Through agreements with related companies and institutions, the center has trained as many as 12,000 trainees to date.


Professor Lee Jong-ho of the Department of Electric Vehicles said, "Through this agreement, we will do our best to develop systematic training programs for eco-friendly automobile painting and cultivate professional technical personnel needed by society."
