Jeju Yeondong 119 Center Conducts Joint Fire Drill with Self-Defense Fire Brigade

[Jeju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] The Jeju Fire Station Yeondong 119 Center (Center Chief Kang Seongcheol) announced on the 27th that it conducted a joint fire drill with the self-defense fire brigade of Cosmos Taehong Nurian 5th Apartment located in Yeondong, Jeju City on the 26th.

This joint fire drill with the self-defense fire brigade was organized to improve the initial response capability of the self-defense fire brigade and to establish a cooperative system with the fire station to ensure a prompt on-site response in case of large-scale fires and disaster accidents.

The main contents included education on evacuation and notification procedures inside the building during a fire, assembly and assignment of tasks to the self-defense fire brigade, usage of fire extinguishers and indoor fire hydrants for initial firefighting, and training on occupying the connection water pipe of the first response team.

Center Chief Kang Seongcheol said, “The role of the self-defense fire brigade at the initial stage of a fire plays a significant role in preventing large-scale damage,” and added, “Please continue regular training of the self-defense fire brigade to be prepared for any accidents.”
