[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the morning of the 26th, Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District Office, visited the Resource Circulation Center to meet and encourage environmental officers working on-site in the heatwave.


On this day, Mayor Choi held a meeting with about 20 environmental officers, listened to major issues and difficulties, and continued open communication while having samgyetang together.


Mayor Choi Ho-gwon said, “I sincerely thank the environmental officers who quietly work every dawn in unseen places to maintain a clean urban environment,” and added, “As the hot weather continues, I hope you pay special attention to your health and safety management.”

Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin District Office, visited on the 26th to encourage field workers who are working hard in the hot weather on Jungbok (the hottest day of the summer).


On this day, Mayor Kim visited the traffic guidance officers’ waiting room, Gangbyeon Station Bicycle Comprehensive Service Center, Jayang Rainwater Pump Station waiting room, and snow removal dispatch base to communicate with employees of field departments and listen to their difficulties.


First, Mayor Kim Kyung-ho met in turn with the bicycle patrol team responsible for maintaining abandoned bicycles and the traffic guidance officers who enforce illegal parking regulations to hear voices from the field.


Mayor Kim said, “I reminded myself that all answers lie in the field and listened carefully to the voices from the field,” adding, “As the heatwave intensifies, please also take care of your health.”


Afterwards, he visited the snow removal dispatch base and Jayang Rainwater Pump Station to meet road maintenance workers and public employees maintaining sewage facilities, listening to their work details and difficulties during duty.


Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin District Office, expressed his gratitude, saying, “I hope you take pride in knowing that thanks to your efforts even in the heat, residents can live in a safe and pleasant environment.”

Park Kang-soo, Mayor of Mapo District Office, visited Mapo Senior Club (Donggyo-ro 8-gil 58) on the 25th to communicate with residents.


On this day, Mayor Park Kang-soo toured ‘Pizza Maru Mapo Hapjeong Branch,’ operated as part of the senior market-type job project on the first floor of Mapo Senior Club, and spent time communicating with residents.


Meanwhile, under the 8th term of the civilian government, Mapo District plans to strengthen welfare for seniors by promoting free filial piety meals for residents aged 75 and older, among other initiatives.
