[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] SuzenTech announced on the 26th that it has signed a contract to supply COVID-19 self-test kits worth 9.7 billion KRW to the Public Procurement Service.
SuzenTech plans to supply self-test kits to government and local government demand institutions through the Public Procurement Service. The product provided this time is the 'SGTi-flex COVID-19 Ag self,' newly approved by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety in February, which can detect the recently emerged BA.2.75 (Centaurus) variant.
SuzenTech has also completed the development of a product that can simultaneously detect influenza along with the COVID-19 self-test kit. A company official explained, “In the situation where COVID-19 has not ended, during the changing seasons, the combo product (SGTi-flexM COVID-19 & Flu A/B Ag) capable of simultaneously detecting COVID-19 and influenza has been developed,” adding, “This product is expected to generate additional demand due to its high demonstration capability and ease of interpretation.”
Meanwhile, SuzenTech plans to realize its entry into the Chinese market starting this year through a partnership with YHLO, a Chinese in vitro diagnostics specialist company. The main products include the multiplex immunoblot device (S-BLOT3) that diagnoses over 100 types of allergies at once and the world's first developed reagent (SGTi-Allergy screen), which has also completed European CE certification.
