[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] The musical 'The Three Musketeers' is returning to audiences after four years.

On the 26th, Global Contents announced that the musical 'The Three Musketeers' will be performed from September 16 to November 6 at the Universal Art Center in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.

The musical 'The Three Musketeers' is based on the novel of the same name by Alexandre Dumas. Set in 17th-century France, it depicts the story of a young man named D'Artagnan who dreams of becoming a royal musketeer, and the three musketeers Athos, Aramis, and Porthos uncovering a conspiracy surrounding King Louis XIII.

First created as a musical in the Czech Republic in 2004, the licensed production premiered domestically in 2009 and has steadily attracted audiences since then.

'The Three Musketeers' signals changes with the participation of director Yoo Byung-eun, known for numerous large-scale musicals such as '1976 Harlan County.' Notably, actor Shin Sung-woo, who has been with the production since its domestic premiere, will appear as Athos, drawing attention.

Actors Lee Geon-myeong and Kim Hyung-gyun are also cast as Athos. Kim Jun-hyun, Kim Shin, the vocalist of the band Monni, and Kim Hyun-soo, the tenor of the crossover group Forte di Quattro, will take the stage as Aramis.

Meanwhile, 'The Three Musketeers' will feature a total of 48 actors, including Kim Beom-rae, Jang Dae-woong, Jung Wook-jin, Choi Min-woo, NU'EST member Ren, ASTRO member Rocky, and DZK members Kyung-yoon and Min-gyu, enhancing the completeness of the production.
