The Sacheon Airshow Promotion Committee announced on the 25th that on the 23rd, during the Saturday regular stage proposal held at Samcheonpo Bridge Park, the popular character ‘Robocar Poli’ was appointed as the promotional ambassador for the Sacheon Airshow.
Produced by Roi Visual and broadcast on EBS and Tooniverse, Robocar Poli is a rescue team consisting of the fastest police car ‘Poli,’ the strong fire truck ‘Roy,’ the smart ambulance ‘Amber,’ and the flying helicopter ‘Helly.’
Currently aired in 144 countries via TV, OTT, and YouTube, it captivates children worldwide with its 3D graphics and simple yet appealing stories for children.
In particular, it is an educational animation emphasizing non-violent themes such as friendship, cooperation, altruism, and safety, earning great love from parents as well.
Sacheon City plans to actively utilize aerospace and aviation safety-related content for children’s educational promotional activities through a business agreement with Roi Visual.
Lee Dong-woo, CEO of Roi Visual, said, “Thank you for appointing Robocar Poli as the promotional ambassador for the Sacheon Airshow, held for the first time in three years. As the promotional ambassador, we will do our best to help children, our future generation, nurture their dreams about aviation and space.”
A representative of the Promotion Committee said, “Through ‘Robocar Poli,’ the children’s superhero, we expect that both adults and children will easily and enjoyably take an interest in the Sacheon Airshow and the aerospace field.”
Meanwhile, the ‘2022 Sacheon Airshow’ is scheduled to be held for four days from October 20 to 23 at Sacheon Airfield, co-hosted by the Air Force, Gyeongsangnam-do Province, Sacheon City, and Korea Aerospace Industries Co., Ltd.
The main official events include the Air Force military band concert and opening ceremony, dazzling aerobatic performances by the Air Force’s special flight team Black Eagles and the Australian Paul Bennet Airshow Team, and demonstration flights of domestically produced aircraft KT-1 and T-50.
Additionally, there will be ground exhibitions of military, government, and civilian aircraft, the ‘Air Force Aviation Weapon System Parts Exhibition’ to strengthen aerospace business and infrastructure, an ‘Industry Promotion Exhibition Hall,’ ‘Metaverse Experience,’ and a ‘Paper Airplane Contest,’ among other new programs.
Especially, various airshows such as Air Force special forces high-altitude parachuting and free experience flights of specialized Air Force (transport and helicopter) and civilian (university and light) aircraft unique to the Sacheon Airshow will continue this year as well.
