[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Spinal implant company L&K Biomed announced on the 25th that it has received medical device approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for its height-adjustable spinal implant ‘PassLock-TM’.
PassLock-TM is L&K Biomed’s height-adjustable spinal implant. It received approval from the US FDA in March this year. It is a posterior and posterolateral insertion type product with a high frequency of procedures. The height can be adjusted up to 20 degrees during spinal surgery.
Using PassLock-TM in surgery can minimize the incision area. It reduces risks such as excessive bleeding and infection, allowing patients who have undergone surgery to quickly return to daily life.
A company official stated, "We will be able to provide overseas-level treatment to domestic spinal disease patients as well," adding, "We will focus on increasing sales through aggressive marketing targeting the domestic medical device market."
Park Geun-joo, CEO of L&K Biomed, emphasized, "With secured product reliability, we will be able to actively respond not only in overseas markets but also domestically," and added, "We will strive to advance medical technology and improve patients’ quality of life by developing various new products."
