[Asia Economy Reporter Kwak Minjae] The Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business (Kbiz) announced on the 25th that it held the graduation ceremony for the 18th Advanced Course of the Next-Generation CEO School for Prospective Prestigious Long-Established Companies at the Kbiz headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul.


About 20 people attended the ceremony, including Yang Chanhoe, Head of the Innovation Growth Division at Kbiz, and graduates of the 18th Advanced Course of the Next-Generation CEO School.


The Next-Generation CEO School for Prospective Prestigious Long-Established Companies is a specialized education program for next-generation CEOs of small and medium enterprises (SMEs), launched in 2008 to support smooth business succession and growth into prestigious long-established companies. The program consists of an online course, an introductory course (2 days), an advanced course (10 weeks), forums, and 1st and 2nd generation business succession workshops.


The 18th course began with an entrance ceremony on May 13 and was conducted over 10 weeks every Friday, including regular classes and domestic workshops. The curriculum covered topics such as ▲Understanding Business Succession ▲Leadership of Next-Generation CEOs ▲Tax and Legal Aspects of Business Succession ▲Corporate HR Strategy ▲ESG Management ▲Visits to Outstanding Succession Companies ▲10-Year Management Planning, all designed to nurture next-generation CEOs.


Yang Chanhoe, Head of the Innovation Growth Division at Kbiz, said, “I hope that the knowledge, experience, and know-how gained from this advanced course will serve as a foundation to strengthen the philosophy and determination for future management, and I wish for their leap forward as future prestigious long-established companies.”
