- Plans to Provide Premium Wellness Solutions to Korean Consumers
- Leading Wellness Technology Company in Vibration Therapy, Electrical Stimulation, and Air Pressure
Global wellness tech leader Therabody announced on the 25th that it is officially entering the Korean market.
Therabody is known in Korea for the Theragun, the world's first percussive therapy massage gun. By establishing a new branch in Korea, the company plans to offer various wellness solutions to domestic consumers primarily through Naver Smart Store and its official website.
Since launching the Theragun G1 in 2016, Therabody has continuously expanded the percussive therapy massage gun category by introducing fourth-generation products such as the Theragun PRO, Theragun Elite, Theragun Prime, and Theragun Mini.
In addition to Theragun, Therabody offers the Wave Series for vibration therapy, Powerdot® for electrical stimulation, and Recovery Air® for pneumatic compression, evolving into a comprehensive recovery and wellness solutions company. Currently, Therabody products are sold in over 10,000 stores across more than 60 countries worldwide.
Furthermore, Therabody has partnerships with globally renowned professional sports teams, including European football clubs like AC Milan, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, and Real Madrid, as well as the Golden State Warriors, recent champions of the U.S. professional basketball league, and the Oracle Red Bull Racing team. Famous athletes such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Kevin De Bruyne, and James Harden also serve as brand ambassadors.
Therabody’s flagship product, the Theragun, utilizes innovative percussive therapy technology to enhance muscle mobility and performance while relieving pain and stress through a full-body massage gun. With a 16mm muscle penetration depth and 2,400 percussions per minute, it quickly improves blood circulation and muscle range of motion, with effects that last long. Especially, the Theragun can shorten warm-up and recovery times before and after exercise, alleviate various everyday pains such as muscle soreness and back pain, and help improve sleep quality.
Moreover, the Theragun features a proprietary high-performance brushless motor that is powerful yet quiet. Its patented triangular handle design is ergonomically engineered to cover over 80% of the user’s body area without straining the elbow or wrist, making it convenient to use. Through the Therabody application, users can set personalized routines and utilize various attachment tips, allowing everyone to easily experience customized recovery therapy at home with just one Theragun.
In the Korean market, Therabody plans to sequentially introduce various products starting with the Theragun and Wave Series. New products will be available initially through the official website and Naver Smart Store, followed by offline stores such as department stores. Additionally, Korean language support will be provided on the Therabody application within the year.
With the establishment of the Korean branch, domestic consumers will be able to receive after-sales services such as product repairs and updates more easily and quickly. Therabody also stated that it will actively provide information about the brand, products, and usage through its official website and Naver Cafe.
