Seocho District Council Elects Assemblyman An Byeongdu as Chair of Budget and Accounts Committee for First Supplementary Budget of the Year

Additional Supplementary Budget Submitted by the Executive Department Totals Approximately 65.3 Billion Won

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] The Seocho District Council (Chairman Oh Se-cheol) has elected Councilor Ahn Byung-doo (photo) as the chairman of the Budget and Accounts Special Committee for the first supplementary budget bill of this year.

On the 20th, the council held the 1st plenary session of the 319th extraordinary meeting and resolved the ▲Resolution on the Formation of the Budget and Accounts Special Committee ▲Appointment of Members of the Budget and Accounts Special Committee regarding the 2022 first supplementary budget bill for general and special accounts revenue and expenditure, thereby making this decision.

Chairman Ahn Byung-doo stated, “Since this is the first supplementary budget bill submitted during a more serious time than ever, we plan to conduct an in-depth review,” adding, “We will do our best to ensure that the budget necessary for the residents is prepared, considering mid- to long-term fiscal soundness.”

The total amount of the supplementary budget bill submitted by the executive branch is approximately 65.3 billion won. The council will begin reviewing the supplementary budget bill by standing committees from the 22nd to the 25th. Then, based on the review results of the relevant standing committees from the 26th to the 28th, the Budget and Accounts Committee will conduct its review, and the supplementary budget bill is scheduled to be finalized at the 2nd plenary session on the 29th.
